URC Grand Final

Closest Call rules

Plain-English rules for the Leinster vs Vodacom Bulls prediction game at Padstal, Pretoria. These should be reviewed before public launch.

Promoter and venue

Closest Call is run for the Padstal pilot at Padstal, Pretoria. The prize is sponsored by Carlo/company.

Entry period

Entries are accepted until kickoff/cutoff at Friday, 19 June 2026 at 20:30 SAST, unless the organiser changes the cutoff before entries close.

Free entry

Entry is free and no purchase is required. A guest enters by submitting the public QR form with their name, phone number, optional email, and predicted scores.

Who may enter

Entrants must be natural persons aged 18 or older. Employees, agents, suppliers, and immediate family members of the promoter or organiser should not enter.

One entry per phone number

Only the first valid entry for a phone number counts. Later entries using the same phone number are rejected automatically.

Winner calculation

After the final score is entered, the app calculates abs(predicted Leinster - actual Leinster) plus abs(predicted Vodacom Bulls - actual Vodacom Bulls). The lowest total wins.

Tie-breaker

If two or more valid entries have the same lowest total, the earliest valid entry wins.

Prize

R1,000 cash prize is a fixed cash prize. The organiser will contact the winner using the phone number or email submitted. If the winner cannot be verified or contacted within a reasonable time, the organiser may award the prize to the next ranked valid entry.

Privacy

Personal information is used only to administer this competition, verify entries, contact the winner, and keep an audit record. Phone numbers and emails are never shown on the TV display. The optional email field is not marketing consent.

Records and disputes

The admin export and database record are the official entry record. The organiser may disqualify entries that are incomplete, abusive, automated, fraudulent, or submitted after the cutoff.
